DELIVERY INFORMATION FOR SOUTH AFRICA

DETAILS
We offer next day delivery for R160 across most of South Africa (LOCAL). All our deliveries are safely packaged in specially designed flower containers before being transported carefully to their destination. Our delivery partners for nationwide flower delivery have many years of experience of delivering flowers throughout South Africa and all drivers are trained to ensure that they handle the flowers with care and keep the deliveries upright.
 

CUT OFF TIMES
Our cut off times for our next day deliveries: South Africa: Order before 9:00pm weekdays and 9:00am Saturdays for next day delivery. We do not deliver on Sundays.
 
PRICING
Standard next day delivery is R160 locally. We do not do Sunday deliveries except by special arrangement (please contact us if this is desired) or on special occasions.

REQUEST SPECIAL DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR DELIVERY
You can leave special delivery instructions directly with our external courier service after finalising your order. For more information, please see the confirmation email which will be sent to you after you place an order.


HOW DOES IT WORK?
Our delivery drivers receive all special delivery instructions in real time and as soon the ‘special request’ is submitted. You can change this request as many times and as frequent as you like as we know plans can change. The only exception to this is if your parcel is about to be delivered, in which case it will be too late. If you require further assistance, please contact our customer services team and we’d be happy to help.

SHIPPING POLICY

  1. Makoye Gift will provide an estimate date upon which the products will be ready once order has been confirmed. However, Makoye Gift will not be liable for late delivery for which ever reason but will endeavor to meet the delivery date.
  2. All artwork has been approved by the Client and Makoye Gift has confirmed receiving said approval in writing.
  3. All payments owed to Makoye Gift reflect in the Makoye Gift bank accounts.
  4. If either/both of these conditions have not been met, then the order will not be placed in the Makoye Gift supply system.
  5. The onus is on the Client to ensure payment has been made, regardless of verbal promises and to further confirm that Makoye Gift is aware that payment has been made.
  6. Proof of payment (with proper bank heading) may be used to show that payment has been made to Makoye Gift but goods will only be released after payment is confirmed in our bank account.
  7. If proof of payment has been altered, forged or in any way tampered with, Makoye Gift will be allowed to take legal action.
  8. Super Express: Subject to 3 above, delivery for super express orders is within 24 business hours, subject to the following conditions.
  9. The 24-hour time period for delivery of products starts once Makoye Gift has confirmed that payment has been made and the Client has approved the artwork.
  10. The 24-hour time period refers to business hours. Business hours includes Monday to Friday but excludes public holiday and weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
  11. Express Service: Subject to 3 above, all express service orders will be delivered within two (2) to three (3) business days, subject to the following conditions.
  12. The two (2) to three (3) business days’ time period for delivery of products starts once Makoye Gift has confirmed that payment has been made and the Client has approved of the artwork.
  13. The two (2) to three (3) business days’ time period refers to business days. Business days include Monday to Friday but excludes public holiday and weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
  14. Economy Service: Subject to 3 above, the economy service orders will be delivered within five (5) to seven (7) business days, subject to the following conditions.
  15. The five (5) to seven (7) business days’ time period for delivery of products starts once Makoye Gif thas confirmed that payment has been made and the Client has approved of the artwork.
  16. The five (5) to seven (7) business days’ time period refers to business days. Business days include Monday to Friday but excludes public holiday and weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
  17. South African Manufactured Items: Subject to 3 above, all products manufactured by South African manufacturers are subject to 10 (ten) to 15 (fifteen) business days lead time for delivery, subject to the following conditions:
  18. The 10 (ten) to 15 (fifteen) business days’ time period for delivery of products starts once Makoye Gift has confirmed that payment has been made and the Client has approved of the artwork.
  19. The 10 (ten) to 15 (fifteen) business days’ time period refers to business days. Business days include Monday to Friday but excludes public holiday and weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
  20. The lead time on unbranded stock for South African products is between 48 to 72 hours.
  21. The lead time for imported products with air freight is 30 to 45 working days and sea freight 75 to 90 days.
  22. The lead time for artwork approval will take two (2) to three (3) working days, but is at all times subject to the provisions of paragraph 5 below.
  23. Calculation of the lead times will not commence before cleared payment in the Makoye Gift bank account has been received and it is subject to the following conditions:
  24. The word “cleared” refers to visible and available funds in the Makoye Gift bank account; should a payment be made by cheque or other unknown payment methods, a 10 (ten) working day delay may be expected. Payments need to be cleared before an order may be executed.
  25. Should products be branded, Makoye Gift may require full payment upfront. No products will be released without full cleared payment in the Makoye Gift bank account.
  26. Makoye Gift is hereby expressly indemnified from the quality or correctness of the product and the Client undertakes to accept the product as is when using the Super Express and Express Services.
  27. Makoye Gift in its sole and absolute discretion reserves the right to accept or reject the cancellation of any order as set out above.
  28. A non-refundable deposit is to be paid when an order is placed. Should the order, after the placement thereof, be cancelled for whatsoever reason and Makoye Gift accepts such a cancellation (in its sole discretion), then Makoye Gift shall be entitled to retain the non-refundable deposit as constituting a genuine pre-estimate of its damages and it is recorded that the parties acknowledge that said liquidated damages are proportional to the prejudice to be suffered by Makoye Gift as a result of said cancellation. This paragraph does not prejudice any other right available to Makoye Gift in terms of these terms and conditions or in terms of law.
  29. Subject to paragraph 23 and 24 below, quotations remain valid for seven (7) days from the date of quotation.
  30. All quotations are subject to the availability of input goods or services and subject to correction of good faith errors by Makoye Gift, and the prices quoted are subject to any increase in the cost price including currency fluctuations to Makoye Gift, before acceptance of the order and Makoye Gift may adjust the quotations accordingly.
  31. In the event of the Client disputing the amount of the cost increase in clause 21 above, the said amount may be certified by an independent auditor and such certificate shall be final and binding on the Client and the cost of such auditor will be for the Client’s account.
  32. Makoye Gift shall not be responsible for flight or custom delays on imported items or exported products. Makoye Gift cannot be held responsible for delays on delivery of goods, loss of goods or other damages caused to the goods for whatsoever reason including, but not limited to, the force majeure, war, civil riots, acts of terrorism within the Republic of South Africa or in the country where the goods are manufactured or dispatched from, or while in transit.
